Developing OT Leaders: Practices and Evidence

Mary Beth Craig-Oatley, EdM, OT/L

Developing leaders in OT has been recognized as an ongoing need in the profession, and especially as we look toward meeting our Centennial Vision.   As health care becomes more complex, both basic practitioners and managers need leadership skills to thrive and best serve all of our clients. Management and leadership roles will be reviewed and compared.  Examples of leadership best practices and evidence to support them will be reviewed. Participants will also receive resources to consider their own leadership development.
