Becoming Fearlessly Independent
Come jump in the shotgun seat alongside a young woman who is navigating life with CP, from early childhood through graduating high school with a perfect GPA, to transitioning into a major university, to designing for and promoting the much-needed world of adaptive fashion, all which eventually led her to the runway of New York with Tommy Hilfiger! Don’t miss this invitation to join the world of an innovator who is challenging the status quo at every turn.

After graduating from Titusville High School, Delaina became the 3rd generation and 6th in her family to become a Florida Gator! Now a junior, she is helping re-define the culture of inclusion through advocacy at UF. For that role, she is a much sought-after spokesperson on campus and within Florida for numerous entities and organizations, including as a student advisor to the Disability Resource Center. She has personally championed changes within Gator Athletics for seating, ticketing, and transportation – no small task! Delaina has been actively involved with the Florida Leadership Academy, the Heavener Leadership Challenge, the entrepreneurship club and the Gator Wesley Foundation. She is studying Marketing, Retail and Entrepreneurship in the Heavener School of Business with future plans to design for and consult within the $3 trillion Fashion Industry in the emerging field of adaptive fashion. She has already traveled to New York several times as a lifestyle model and personal guest of the Tommy Hilfiger, Runway of Dreams and Vera Bradley global brands. She serves as a Brand Ambassador for Microsoft and Tobii Dynavox, Runway of Dreams, and Permobil Wheelchairs. She is a blogger, and small business owner, too, promoting body confidence on
