The Jean Mousseau & Mary Beth Craig-Oatley Legacy Award 

Established in 2023, the OT Award of Merit is the highest Association honor recognizing an occupational therapist.

Description and purpose

  • This distinguished accolade celebrates the exceptional contributions of Occupational Therapy Assistants who stand as beacons of advocacy within the profession. 
  • To increase awareness of occupational therapy as a profession.
  • To instill in members a desire to contribute to the development and growth of Occupational Therapists  and the Association.

Minimal requirements

  • The nominee shall have demonstrated an outstanding and extensive contribution to the profession of occupational therapy.
  • The nominee is a current, practicing Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
  • The nominee is an active member of FOTA for more than 5 years.
  • The nominee is OTA who has embodied this same spirit of exceptional commitment and passionate advocacy for the OT profession.
