Thriving at Work: Occupational Therapy Strategies for Cancer Survivorship

Course abstract:
Cancer survivorship can significantly affect work participation, yet many survivors face physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and systemic barriers when returning to work. This course will explore evidence-based strategies occupational therapy practitioners can use to improve return-to-work outcomes across the cancer survivorship continuum. Participants will be able to identify practical approaches to support functional outcomes and meaningful work participation.

Course Objectives:
Participants will identify prevalence, demographic trends, and return-to-work outcomes among individuals living with and beyond cancer. Participants will explore barriers and facilitators that influence return to work outcomes. Participants will identify evidence-based occupational therapy strategies and interdisciplinary approaches to support meaningful work participation.
